Krista Laine is running for Austin City Council District 6, a great portion (45%) of which overlaps with RRISD. Krista’s impact in RRISD community is invaluable. One of the important impacts was that she advocated a two-way communication between the district and communities before and during the policy-making process. Dr. Wei believed that Krista will bring new positive changes for District 6.

Dr. Wei attended Krista’s campaign kickoff party, and met with Rep. Bucy, other elected officials/candidates, and community members to discuss his campaign for RRISD Trustee.
